NeedleH1N1 Flu Vaccinations

Free H1N1 flu shots will be provided to UIC students under the age of 24, and students or employees if they meet the CDC established priority criteria listed below, on Friday, Dec. 4, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Student Center East, 750 S. Halsted St., Montgomery Ward Lounge, 1st floor.

Vaccinations will be given until the supply runs out. As more H1N1 vaccine become available, additional vaccination dates will be scheduled.

The CDC has established priorities for who should receive the H1N1 vaccines first, with pregnant women, people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age, healthcare workers, persons between the ages of six months and 24 years, and people with chronic health conditions or compromised immune systems among the initial groups targeted for inoculation. The campus is following federal protocols for administering the inoculations to medical center patients and the UIC community.

Students and UIC employees must present their i-card in order to receive the free H1N1 flu shot.
